1. Introduction
Welcome to Beau Lanka Travels. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the purchase of our travel packages. By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
2. Contract of Service
A contract between Beau Lanka Travels and the traveler is established only when:
- A customized itinerary has been agreed upon.
The required deposit has been received.
A written booking confirmation has been issued by us.
3. Pricing and Payments
Quotes: All prices are quoted in USD or EUR unless otherwise stated. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
Deposits: A non-refundable deposit (typically 20-30% of the total tour cost) is required to secure bookings.
Final Payment: The remaining balance must be settled at least 30 days prior to the arrival date. For last-minute bookings (within 30 days of arrival), full payment is required immediately.
4. Customization and Amendments
As specialists in bespoke travel, we allow for reasonable amendments to your itinerary after booking. While we strive to accommodate changes at no extra cost, any third-party fees (e.g., hotel amendment fees) will be passed on to the traveler.
5. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Our standard cancellation charges are as follows:
31+ days before arrival: Loss of deposit.
15 to 30 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost.
0 to 14 days before arrival: 100% of the total tour cost (No refund).
Note: Specific high-season bookings or luxury villas may have stricter cancellation terms, which will be highlighted in your specific quote.
6. Traveler Responsibilities
Visas & Passports: Travelers are responsible for obtaining a valid Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for Sri Lanka and ensuring passports are valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry.
Insurance: It is a mandatory condition of booking that all travelers have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal accident, and trip cancellation.
Conduct: We reserve the right to terminate the tour of any traveler whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the group or local laws.
7. Transportation and Logistics
In alignment with our “Three Worlds” concept, we provide various modes of transport (Cars, Vans, Trains, Tuk-Tuks). While we ensure all vehicles meet high safety standards, Beau Lanka Travels is not liable for delays caused by weather, strikes, or mechanical issues beyond our reasonable control.
8. Limitation of Liability
Beau Lanka Travels acts as an agent for hotels, transport providers, and activity operators. While we choose our partners with the utmost care (Stewardship and Excellence), we are not liable for injury, damage, loss, or delay caused by these independent third parties.
8. Force Majeure
Beau Lanka Travels shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from “Force Majeure” events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, or government restrictions.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
